We are currently seeking a Business Reporting Specialist to join our Finance Team. 
 
Reporting to the Senior Business Reporting Analyst, this is an ideal junior role for a candidate who has completed a post-secondary diploma/degree in a business or social science related program and has a minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar role.  In addition, the qualified candidate will have advanced level Excel skills both in the use of advanced formulas and in workbook auditing/design.  Experience with ProClarity or another Business Intelligence program or experience with relational databases is highly recommended.  VBA knowledge is an asset. 
 
The successful candidate will also possess intellectual curiosity along with a desire and willingness to learn.  They must be flexible in prioritizing and reprioritizing tasks as required and be able to perform some level of repetitive tasks.  Strong communication skills will be required to work within a culturally diverse group as well as the ability to effectively communicate with persons at all levels of the business.  It will be essential for the candidate to be technologically adaptable in order to learn new business systems as an advanced end-user.
 
 
Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Format and upload the daily and monthly POS files
    • Audit and identify errors/omissions in the source files
  • Populate existing business reports accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with the development of new reporting methods, metrics covering many departments and areas of the business
  • Assist with end-user support for the business intelligence system
  • Validate and upload price changes
  • Assist with analysis on large quantities of data and develop reporting templates and models, as well as perform data validation and ad hoc queries
  • Other duties as required
